Organic is all about eating healthy, minus the
harmful chemicals that can be connected to
genetically grown laboratory foods and chemicals
used by non-organic farmers. It is not only
important for adults to eat organic food products
but should also be concerned with providing the best
organic baby food for the little one in your family.
The brand of choice in my household is Yummy
Spoonfuls, an organic baby food product line from
the state of Georgia. All the baby food is USDA
Organic certified salt free, preservative free,
gluten free, additive free and free of sugars and
other unknown fillers.
Since I was brought up in the lower section of
Michigan, it was not uncommon to have freshly grown
organic foods from our garden in the country.
Unfortunately, after moving to a larger city, it is
not possible to always find organic fruits and
vegetables throughout all the seasons in the North;
it is especially hard to make our own organic baby
food during the winter months when the harvests are
finished. So, we lean towards purchasing Yummy
Spoonfuls organic baby food when we are not able to
create our own food in the kitchen.
We love Yummy Spoonfuls because it has three levels
to choose from depending on the age of each child.
There are only three stages, so it is not as
confusing as some other brands on the market. In
addition, there are so many more healthy choices to
choose from (unlike other brands) such as "Organic
Lentil & Carrot Porridge", "Pureed Organic Papaya",
"Organic Blueberry & Millet Cereal" and so much
more. It is one of the only product lines that match
our adult eating habits for health and daily
nutritional values.
To purchase Yummy Spoonfuls, please take a look at
the main website for a store nearest you.
Unfortunately, most stores are located directly in
Georgia however the one store we can purchase the
organic baby food is at the Whole Foods Market.
There are also home delivery services available at
the main website. Prices range from $2.00-3.00 each
for a 4to 6 ounce cup of organic baby food.
