Why is Yummy Spoonfuls better?

Just because food is convenient does not mean it should not taste well or be less than 100% nutritious. Yummy Spoonfuls is fresh, organic, highly nutritious wholesome meals that  taste so yummy good.
Babies have immature systems and need the very purest and safest foods. Yummy Spoonfuls Baby Food PROVIDES JUST THAT. Every bit of Yummy Spoonfuls counts. As the child obesity rate in the United States continues to surge out of control, Yummy Spoonfuls hopes that today’s parents will start their children’s lives with healthy, natural foods instead of fatty, high calorie, and sugar-filled processed foods. Compare our products with the rest and you will be pleasantly surprised. Yummy Spoonfuls is deliciously yummy, parents and kids both agree.

Why is Yummy Spoonfuls strictly organic?

The global scientific community has constantly acknowledged the negative and at times long lasting effects of small doses of pesticides and other agricultural chemicals on people, especially during the early stages of development as a fetus and during infancy. Contributing to the fact that babies consume more pound per pound of body weight as compared to adults. At Yummy Spoonfuls we believe organic is the healthier choice towards the right direction.

What are the different stages Yummy Spoonfuls offers?

Yummy Spoonfuls currently offers 3 product lines

Creamy Yummy (Stage 1) – Designed for babies within the 6 to 9 months age bracket, the consistency of Creamy Yummy products is soft in texture, and gentle on babies’ immature digestive systems. Creamy product offerings include peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, papaya, broccoli, pears and much, much more

Mushy Yummy (Stage 2) – Products in the Mushy group are for infants between 9 and 12 months.  Mushy Yummy products offer a more eclectic pairing of foods for the baby’s developing palate. The choices include diverse and delicious combinations of food like potato and broccoli, carrot and parsnip, sweet potato and broccoli, and blueberry and millet cereal, just to name a few.

Chunky Yummy (Stage 3) – Chunky products are for children 12 months and above. They are tasty, nutritious and balanced meals that your toddler will absolutely love!  With exciting choices like lentil and carrot porridge and a mouth-watering rice medley, Chunky Yummy products feature foods even adults will enjoy!

Why is Yummy Spoonfuls frozen?

Yummy Spoonfuls baby food is flash-frozen to lock in every available drop of nature’s goodness. Though there are many other acceptable ways of preserving food we like the freezing method because we don’t need to over process the food before bringing it to the stores and thus to you.

Yummy Spoonfuls is very thick, can I use water to thin it out?

You are welcome to use water, make sure you boil and cool the water before adding it to baby’s food. You can also thin it out with breast or formula milk.

You use unique items/ingredients like quinoa, papaya, ginger, garlic and basil, are these okay for my baby?

Every Yummy Spoonfuls product has been carefully researched to ensure they are appropriate for the age group and recipes checked by a nutritionist. In some cultures, for example, grains like quinoa, millet and amaranth are a staple baby food due to their extremely high nutritional value and are less allergenic. Some cultures use ginger to soothe sore tummies while others uses it to help increase appetite Trust us, we have a good reason to offer what we offer.

Yummy Spoonfuls are very bright; do you add color to your products?

Yummy spoonfuls is produced without artificial additives or processing chemicals. Our products are bright simply because they are minimally processed. This is why our products are perishable and do not have the 2 year shelf life like the other commercial baby foods. It is our belief that cooked peas should look like uncooked peas for example vibrant in all their original colors and still full with their nutrients.

Is there a reason why you do not add sugar or salt to your food?

Our babies’ kidneys are not mature enough to process extra salt. We do not add sugar to our meals simple because our babies do not need it. Sugar is one of those ‘empty nothings’ that sets a precedent for a host of future health issues.  Research has shown that eating patterns are developed from the very first spoonful. That is why ours is Yummy without the added junk to help our kids develop a taste for clean healthy wholesome meals.

UPCOMING EVENT:

Getting our nutrition from food is definitely the best way.  It is one constant recommendation in almost every guide to nutrition, or fitness book. Even organizations such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the World Health Organization, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, and the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion agree. But as much as it is preached, most people still do not eat enough fruits and vegetables every day. Juice Plus+ helps fill that gap.
